Brush Fire Requires Multiple Companies

This afternoon Company 7 was dispatched to a brush fire in the 7600 block of Franklin Road at around 1600 hrs. Due to the proximity of the fire to a residence, the incident was upgraded to a structure fire bringing Company 3 out. The fire was contained to the woods. Company 6 and the Department of Forestry were requested. At 1735hrs Company 2 was requested for manpower only. Car 2 responded with a crew of 4. Upon arrival, Car 2's crew was sent to the right flank to help manage the back burn. Companies were slowly released as the back burn was completed. The incident was turned over to Department of Forestry and all units cleared.
