Car Fire in the First Due

Company 2 and Rescue 2 were dispatched for a vehicle fire on East Virginia Ave shortly after 7:00pm. Engine 2 and Medic 23 responded. Vinton Training 2 (Sheets) arrived on scene and reported 1 vehicle approximately 3 feet from a structure with fire in the engine compartment. Engine 2 arrived on scene, Chief 2 (Powell) established command and Engine 2's crew stretched a 1-3/4" line off of the front bumper. With a quick knock down and no extension to the nearby building, Engine 2 and Medic 23 cleared from the scene shortly after.
