Botetourt County Requests Brush 2

Shortly after 8:00pm Company 2 was dispatched to assist Botetourt County with Brush 2 for a brush fire. Shortly after, Brush 2 responded with 2 to Tinker Top Rd. Upon arrival at the intersection of Tinker Mountain Rd and Tinker Top Rd, Brush 2 met with command and was directed to head to the top of Tinker Top Rd to rendezvous with Botetourt units on scene. Crews travelled to the very top of Tinker Mountain. Brush 2's crew along with a crew from Read Mountain flagged in to the remote area of the brush fire. Crews arrived to find the majority of the fire knocked down and began work on containing the fire by cutting fire lines and controlling hot spots. Vinton and Read Mountain crews remained at location for almost 6 hours before returning to quarters.
