Homeowner Gets the Job Done

Companies 2 and 6, Battalion 1, Medic 2, and EMS 2 were dispatched to Bush Farm Dr for a structure fire at approximately 2:20pm. Engine 2 responded shortly after dispatch. Vinton Training 2 (Sheets) arrived on scene to find a 2 story residential structure with nothing showing from sides Alpha, Bravo, and Delta. Training 2 assumed Bush Farm Command. Upon investigation, Training 2 advised that there had been a fire on the Charlie side of the building at the Bravo/Charlie corner that was extinguished by the homeowner. With the fire out, Training 2 made it a can handle for Engine 2 and Rescue 21. Engine 2 arrived on scene and checked for any extension. With no extension found, Engine 2 returned to service and Training 2 remained on scene to await the arrival of the Fire Marshal.
