Car Fire in the First Due

A possible car fire was reported in the 900 block of Niagara Road with smoke in the vehicle at approximately 9:47pm. Engine 2 responded shortly after with a crew of 5. Medic 23 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the passenger compartment of a vehicle. Engine 2 arrived on scene and assumed Niagara command. Engine 2 stretched a 1-3/4'' attack line from the bumper. The crew found some various articles smoldering in the backseat and made quick work of it. Crews remained on scene while the fire marshal's office investigated.
