Engine 2 Goes to Botetourt

Just before 7:00pm Company 2 was dispatched to assist Botetourt County for a working structure fire on Hope Lane. Engine 2 was shortly en-route. Engine 2's crew split once on scene. 2 members helped with water supply while the remaining 3 were directed by command to establish a secondary means of egress for crews working inside the structure. That crew then set a positive pressure fan to establish ventilation. All Company 2 members then assisted in helping other units on scene pick up before returning to quarters. Engine 2 was on scene for 2 hours.

While Engine 2 was out at the fire in Botetourt, Company 2 was dispatched for a smoke report in the area of Falling Creek Dr. Wagon 2 responded and was unable to locate any fire.
