Busy Afternoon for Company 2

by the Webmaster

02/22/2011

Today Company 2 handled 4 calls after noon. Around 1:00pm Company 2 was dispatched for an accident with injuries at the intersection of Washington Ave and Lynn Haven Cir. Engine 2 arrived to find 2 vehicles involved with all occupants out the vehicle. Engine 2 assisted in traffic control and patient care. Later in the evening Ladder 2 was dispatched to 3000 Pitzer Rd to assist Company 6 on a fire alarm. Wagon 6 arrived on-scene and put all units in service after verifying a false alarm. About an hour later Company 2 was put out for another accident. Engine 2 responded to the intersection of Washington and Bypass Rd. Upon arrival Engine 2 found 3 vehicles involved, 1 with heavy front end damage, and all occupants out of the vehicles. Engine 2's crew secured the leaking fluids and provided traffic control. While Engine 2 was out on the second accident, Company 2 was dispatched for a residential structure fire in the 300 block of North Preston Ave. Wagon 2 responded. The home owner had extinguished the fire prior to the arrival of Wagon 2 with a water hose. Wagon 2's crew checked for extension and provided ventilation to clear the smoke from the residence. All Company 2 units were back in quarters just shortly after 10:00pm.

Units responding from 2: Engine 2, Ladder 2, Wagon 2, Car 2
