Logging Machinery Fire

At 8:00pm Engine 2 was dispatched to assist Franklin County for smoke in the area of Coopers Cove Road. Engine 2 was quickly on the road. Roanoke County Emergency Communications Center advised Engine 2 that Franklin County was reporting that the smoke was in the area of Lynville Mountain Road off of Coopers Cove. Engine 2 arrived on scene 27 minutes later to find Burnt Chimney Fire Department on the scene of a logging machinery fire. Engine 2 remained on scene for 20 minutes until command determined that Engine 2's water would not be needed.
